Good afternoon everyone! ! Today is my favorite day of the week, Sunday. It’s the one day of the week when I intentionally try be a couch potato and recharge for Monday. Yesterday was an exciting day because I was able to photograph a February wedding AND have good weather (50+ degrees). Kris and Shannon were the lucky couple who enjoyed the near perfect weather at the Misty Valley Wedding Chapel just outside of Shelbyville, Kentucky. Kris and Shannon were a fabulous couple to work with and they definitely made my job easy. I couldn’t wait to get home and edit some of their images, so I picked out some of my favorites and posted them below. Thank you Kris and Shannon for being so much fun to work with!

Kris loves dogs and breeds award winning Doberman’s, so I found it funny that this cat kept following us around ALL DAY!

Hello everyone!! I hope you are staying dry. If you live in Louisville then you know how frustrated I am with this constant rain that wont go away. This past Saturday was one of the nicest days we’ve had in a long time, so Elizabeth and I were lucky enough to shoot her senior portraits without getting wet. Her pictures rocked. Enjoy!

HAPPY 80TH BIRTHDAY PARTY!

I’ve been to a few surprise birthday parties during my 24 years, but none of them were as exciting as the surprise party I photographed last week. It was a genuine surprise and even I had the biggest smile on my face as Marty’s mother walked into the room to see some of her closest friends and family. At 80 years young Marty’s mother was a ball of energy and full of jokes, which made the night very entertaining. Here are some of the images from the party.

Wow.. what a day to have a portrait session. It was so nice to be able to walk around in shorts and a t-shirt and not have to worry about staying warm between shots. The first location we shot at was sweet! If you don’t believe me, check out the colors in the background of the first two images. BAM!! Thank you downtown Louisville for having so many great locations to choose from!

Cassie is a student at the University of Louisville and was on spring break last week, so we used some of that free time to have a laid back photo shoot with a lot of laughs and a little picture taking. Cassie had such a genuine smile and was so photogenic that it made it impossible to take a bad image. As a photographer, my job was super easy because all I needed to do was take a picture and I knew it would turn out great. Below are a few of the images that summarized the photo shoot.

Now here is a fun couple to work with on an engagement session! Kat and Scott met as undergraduates at the University of Louisville. They were both members of the Cross Country and Track teams and help lead the Cardinals to their first Big East Championship title. They are both high energy individuals and like to have a good time, so Saturday morning was a lot of fun despite the cool temperature. The best part of the entire session was Scott’s enthusiasm for taking pictures. He was loving it! Anyways, lets check out some of the shots from the session.
